HXR Brand and Usage Guidelines

Current HXR brand, historical-name, attribution, derivative-work, and official-status usage guidance.

Purpose

These guidelines help readers distinguish official Human Experience Reform work from independent discussion, adaptation, criticism, or commercial services.

HXR is intended to be studied, criticized, taught, cited, and applied. That openness does not authorize others to imply that their project, score, audit, certification, or commercial offering is official HXR.

Current and Historical Names

The project began under the name User Experience Reform (UXR) and adopted Human Experience Reform (HXR) as its public identity on August 18, 2026.

Use Human Experience Reform (HXR) for current references. Preserve User Experience Reform (UXR) when quoting or citing historical material from the UXR period, legacy identifiers, technical namespaces, or records whose original wording matters. Historical accuracy does not authorize a separate project to claim the UXR identity as an official successor.

Permitted Descriptions

Appropriate uses include:

“an analysis informed by Human Experience Reform principles”;
“a project that references the public HXR framework”;
“independent research applying concepts described by HXR”;
“a critique of Human Experience Reform”;
accurate quotations and citations with attribution to Sean Arenas and the canonical HXR source.

For historical material, an accurate formulation is “User Experience Reform, now Human Experience Reform.”

Uses That Require Explicit Authorization

Do not use the HXR name, initials, marks, or future certification language to imply that a person, organization, service, assessment, or publication is:

officially operated by HXR;
approved, accredited, licensed, certified, or endorsed by HXR;
authorized to issue HXR scores, Blue Scores, Blue Zone designations, seals, ratings, or compliance findings;
authorized to speak for the HXR framework or alter its constitutional standards;
part of an official registry, council, research program, or consulting network unless the canonical registry confirms that status.

The same restriction applies to misleading use of the historical UXR name when it would imply present official status or continuity.

Naming Derivative Work

An independent derivative or localized project should use its own distinct primary name. It may accurately state that it is “based on,” “informed by,” or “in dialogue with” HXR, provided the statement includes clear attribution and no implication of official status.

A derivative project should not use HXR, Human Experience Reform, Official HXR, HXR Certified, HXR Compliant, Blue Zone Certified, or a confusingly similar term as its primary brand without written authorization.

Constitutional Integrity

A project that removes or reverses HXR's core safeguards, such as the One-Way Authority Rule, evidence independence, causal humility, public traceability, or prohibition on purchased scoring influence, must not represent itself as the official continuation of HXR.

Commercial Services

No current public license authorizes commercial entities to sell official HXR audits, compliance services, accreditation, certification, or score improvement under the HXR name.

Independent consultants may discuss HXR or help organizations improve human experience, but they must describe their work accurately and avoid implying official authorization.

Current Project Boundary

HXR is currently an independent founder-led project. It does not yet operate a public certification program, authorized assessor network, licensing system, or official partner registry. A future system should be described as operational only after the corresponding controls and public records actually exist.

Reporting Confusing Use

As the project develops, HXR intends to provide a contact path for reporting false certification claims, copied materials, misleading branding, or unauthorized assertions of official partnership.
