UXR for Journalists

UXR offers journalists a developing framework for examining how institutions consume human time, attention, effort, dignity, agency, safety, health, and opportunity.

It can help turn an isolated account into a bounded question: what happened, what can be verified, which system controlled the outcome, what costs followed, whether the case reflects a broader pattern, and what reform would require.

Evidence Boundaries

UXR does not treat one person's account as automatic proof of intent, causation, systemic prevalence, or institutional wrongdoing.

A documented case may establish what happened to one person. A pattern requires additional support. A finding about mechanism requires evidence connecting the outcome to a system component, policy, incentive, omission, or decision. Moral judgment remains separate from factual confidence.

• Support metrics that reward closure rather than resolution
• Repeated small burdens that collectively consume years of human time

Current Limits

UXR is still being built in public. A bounded public case pilot and live Cases registry now exist, but UXR does not yet operate a mature or representative case database, broad staffed public intake service, or Blue Score system. Published methodology and governance documents remain open to revision.

The public cases should therefore be read as inspectable pilot work, not as a claim that the framework has already achieved large-scale validation.

How Journalists Can Contribute

Journalists can inspect whether public cases overstate evidence, identify missing domains, contribute public records or reporting methods, challenge governance assumptions, and point to reforms or institutional responses that deserve documentation.
