UXR Trademark, Certification Mark, and Official Registry Roadmap

The development plan for UXR names, seals, certification marks, authorization rules, and a future public registry.

Roadmap status: Legal and operational planning
Published: August 4, 2026

Current reality: No UXR certification mark, certification program, licensed assessor network, or formal public registry currently operates.

What exists now: Public authorship, copyright and brand-use notices, the Official Source of Truth page, and explicit warnings against false official status.

What would count as completion: Qualified clearance review, filings or registrations where appropriate, published operating rules, an authorized verification process, and a public registry.

Why marks matter

Copyright protects original expression. It does not, by itself, establish exclusive control over project names, certification claims, seals, or confusing representations of official authorization.

UXR therefore plans a separate trademark and certification-mark strategy.

Candidate word and identity marks

Potential marks for professional legal review include User Experience Reform, UXR, official logos and seals, Blue Score if retained, Blue Zone terms subject to clearance, and names of future assessor programs.

Listing a candidate here does not claim registration, availability, or exclusive legal rights.

Certification marks

A future certification mark could allow qualified organizations to display an official UXR designation only after meeting publicly defined criteria through an authorized process.

A certification system would require objective public standards, independent governance, consistent verification, anti-influence rules, appeals, correction, suspension, revocation, authorized use rules, a public registry, and legal review.

Status: No UXR certification mark or certification program currently operates.

Official registry

UXR plans a public registry that may eventually list official standards, authorized assessors, verified pilots, valid certifications, licensed marks, recognized partnerships, and suspended or revoked authorizations.

Status: The current Official Source of Truth page serves as a preliminary verification point. A formal registry has not yet been built.

Anti-greenwashing principle

An official UXR seal must never become a decorative badge purchased by an organization while harmful practices continue behind it.

Current public warning

No organization currently holds official UXR certification, Blue Zone status, licensed assessor authority, or permission to issue official UXR scores.
