Observed sequence

1. ChatGPT Read Aloud begins with clean audio.
2. After roughly 60–90 seconds of continuous listening, the contributor hears static begin.
3. The static becomes progressively more pronounced as playback continues.
4. The contributor force-quits ChatGPT, reopens it, seeks forward to a later point in the same response, and resumes playback.
5. Playback is initially clean again at that later content position.
6. After another roughly 60–90 seconds of continuous playback from the new start/resume point, the static returns and again worsens.
7. The contributor reports that Gemini, Claude, Copilot, podcasts, Apple Music, and SiriusXM do not exhibit the same static on the same device.

Current finding

For this contributor, the user-facing ChatGPT Read Aloud feature did not maintain stable audio integrity throughout continuous playback.
