How to interpret this page
This page groups public HXR Evaluations and Incident reports that name this subject. Inclusion does not establish organization-wide prevalence, internal ownership, fault, or responsibility beyond what each record’s evidence supports.
Evaluations involving iOS Dictation
iOS Dictation Contacts-Based Personalization, Contextual Ranking, and User Control
One contributor reports a recurring, years-long iPhone Dictation pattern in which ordinary spoken words and phrases are sometimes replaced by names drawn from Contacts. Some visible contact-name candidates later self-correct while similar candidates can persist, making the output unpredictable enough that the user must reread and repair dictated text. The contributor reports changing pronunciation and vocabulary and previously deleting legitimate contacts as compensating behavior. The resulting risk includes semantic corruption, communication confusion, recurring cognitive burden, and potential disclosure of a contact association the user did not intend to reveal.
