Review: Hattori Hanzo (Okinawa, Japan)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
The Good:
The craftsmanship is beyond compare. If you’re looking for a weapon that can cut through God, this is the only shop on the planet. I’ve handled a lot of steel in my time—including some very expensive "replicas" owned by former associates—but Hanzo-built is the only one that feels like an extension of your own nervous system. It’s light, it’s perfectly balanced, and the edge is so sharp that it basically bisects the air before you even swing it.
The Bad:
The "customer service" is a bit eccentric. I had to sit in a dusty attic for several days eating mediocre sushi and listening to an old man swear at his assistant before he even admitted he still made swords. Also, the "warranty" is basically just a solemn vow that if I ever encounter his former student, Bill, I’ll use the blade to settle the score. It’s a very high-stakes loyalty program.
Also, the packaging was non-existent. No box, no bubble wrap, just a master-grade katana handed to me in a dark room. Good luck getting that through an overhead bin on a commercial flight without a very awkward conversation with TSA.
The Service:
Hattori Hanzo is a man of his word. He came out of retirement just for me, which is a level of "elite status" you usually don't get even with a Black Card.

Comments:
@Bill_S: I told you he was the best, Kiddo. Just remember: that sword doesn't make you invincible. It just makes you very, very dangerous.
@O-Ren_Ishii: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Poor edge retention. It failed me during a very important meeting in the House of Blue Leaves.
@Hattori_Hanzo_Official: I do not make swords anymore. I make tea. Please stop tagging me in your revenge fantasies.
@Pai_Mei: The sword is only as good as the hand that holds it. You still squint too much during the downswing.
