What UXR Is, What It Is Not, and What Exists Today
Document status: Current orientation and project boundary
This page explains what User Experience Reform has established, what is operating in bounded form, what remains under development, and what does not yet exist. It is designed to prevent readers from mistaking ambition, publication, or polished institutional language for completed operations.
What UXR Is
- a developing public-interest framework for examining burdens created by human-made systems;
- an ethical and evidentiary system centered on practical human agency;
- a structured body of principles, concepts, examples, governance commitments, development notes, and public case records;
- a research and reform project being built in public;
- an attempt to measure what systems consume, what outcomes people lose, and what human capacity reform can return.
What UXR Is Not Yet
- a broad staffed public intake institution;
- a validated universal scoring instrument;
- an operating Blue Score or comparison system;
- a certification body or assessor network;
- a regulator, court, or legal authority;
- a completed governance organization;
- a finished scientific instrument.
What UXR Has Established
- its governing purpose and commitment to human agency;
- universal scope across human-made systems;
- the separation of observation, explanation, and evaluation;
- evidence and causal-discipline principles;
- anti-capture and One-Way Authority rules;
- a developing taxonomy and examples architecture;
- an operational case data architecture used in bounded live case work;
- a public Cases registry with published case records;
- a case-publication workflow that preserves case boundaries, related-incident relationships, independent resolution layers, and public status tracking;
- public status boundaries and a structured research agenda.
What Is Operating in Bounded Form
UXR now has a limited operational case pilot. Contributor material can be analyzed into bounded cases, case records can be preserved in structured data, related failures can remain independently trackable, and public case records can show what is established, what remains uncertain, and what kind of resolution has or has not occurred.
This is real operational infrastructure. It is not yet a broad public intake service, a large or representative case corpus, or proof that UXR's future measurement and scoring methods are scientifically validated.
Recognition Is Not Automatic Adjudication
A person does not have to become visibly angry, spend hours fighting, or prove every element of a case before an experience becomes eligible for examination. UXR can recognize a burden while still evaluating what the evidence establishes.
Recognition does not automatically validate every factual, causal, legal, moral, or intent-based conclusion attached to an account.
Silence Is Ambiguous Evidence
Low complaint volume does not establish satisfaction. It also does not, by itself, establish resignation, adaptive acceptance, fear, or burden avoidance. UXR must investigate the possible explanations rather than converting silence into whichever conclusion an institution or critic prefers.
Universal Scope Is Not a Claim of Completeness
Universal scope is an obligation to remain open, not a claim of complete knowledge.
UXR may examine every human-made system. That does not mean the current framework already represents every population, culture, disability, domain, objective, burden, or corrective path.
Conceptual Visibility Is Not Measurement Coverage
Naming anticipated burden, adaptive acceptance, hidden failure, proxy burden, or unexpressed objective loss makes those experiences visible to the framework. It does not yet establish how often they occur, how people who never enter an intake system will be detected, or how population estimates will be validated.
Current Quantitative Status
UXR currently has quantitative principles, not a validated universal quantitative instrument. It can illustrate population-scale consequences and identify requirements for responsible measurement. It does not yet possess a universal formula, settled weighting model, or accepted method for converting every burden into a common unit.
Current Legal Status
UXR's documentation reflects legal-risk awareness and procedural caution. It has not received comprehensive jurisdiction-specific legal validation. Broader intake, scoring, evidence publication at scale, certification, contributor protections, and institutional findings will require qualified legal review.
Current Means Current
UXR is changing rapidly as live case work and reviewer feedback expose what works, what fails, and what needs to exist next. Statements on this page describe today's boundary. They should not be read as promises of imminent capability or as permanent declarations of absence.
Reviewers are invited to point to the next capability, safeguard, test, or domain they believe UXR most needs to earn greater confidence.
