Revolver, the Beatles' seventh studio album, arrived on 5 August 1966 alongside the double A-side single Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine. It became their final project before retiring from live performance and showcased their most ambitious use of studio technology yet, expanding the innovations first explored on Rubber Soul.
