About this song
Roky Erickson's horror-rock song named after the 1943 film, from the 1980 UK CBS album Roky Erickson and the Aliens (it was left off the 1981 US edition, The Evil One). R.E.M. covered it on the 1990 tribute Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye.

Performance tips
- Keep it deadpan and hypnotic; the joke is how simple and repetitive it is, so commit to every repeat.
- Sing in a low, dazed monotone and let the band's groove do the work.
- Get the crowd shuffling like zombies on the repeats; it's a sing-along by the second pass.
