Help Paying for Your Pet’s Care
Payment plans, grants and fundraising can all help with the same veterinary bill. Start with your clinic, then use the options below that fit your location, your pet’s needs and your timeline.
Worried your pet needs urgent care? Call your veterinarian or a local emergency veterinary hospital now and describe what is happening. Ask where to go and tell them if cost is a barrier. Help My Pet cannot assess your pet or arrange emergency treatment.
Start with the veterinary team
Tell the clinic what you can afford today. Ask for a written, itemized estimate, what needs to happen now, and whether it offers payment arrangements or works with assistance programs. Ask what deposit is required and when the remaining payment is due.

A payment plan changes when you pay; it still has to be repaid. Availability and terms depend on the participating clinic.
Check grants that fit your situation
Before applying: Grants may cover only part of a bill, have limited funds, or take time to review. Check location, treatment rules and current applications first. A program being listed here does not mean money is reserved for your pet. Keep your estimate and medical records ready, and confirm the program’s response time with the organization.
