If you already need to buy food, supplies or a prescribed medication, use this guide to compare the full cost and ordering requirements. Buying less expensively can stretch a budget, but shopping is not financial assistance.
Need help affording the purchase at all? Start with local food and service assistance or veterinary grant options. If care or medication is needed urgently, contact your veterinary team about a timely option instead of waiting for a delivery.
Compare the same item, not just the advertised discount
- Match the product and quantity. Compare equivalent package sizes. For a prescribed medication, match the prescribed name, strength, form and quantity; ask your veterinary team about any proposed change.
- Compare the total delivered price. Include shipping, tax and applicable fees. Do not buy extra items just to reach a free-shipping threshold unless the total genuinely works for your budget.
- Separate the first order from the next one. Check the ordinary repeat-order price, offer exclusions and whether a discount requires recurring orders. An introductory saving may not continue.
- Check when you will actually have it. Confirm stock, prescription authorization and the arrival estimate. Ask your clinic about its pharmacy or local options as well.
- Choose a subscription only if it fits. Check the next charge, shipment schedule and cancellation deadline. Canceling future deliveries may not stop an order already being processed.
