Free Event Listings for Bars, Restaurants, and Live Music Venues

A venue can connect its location to karaoke, bands, DJs and other public events. See how free directory listings help guests find the right night.

Minty Press guide for bars and restaurants hosting karaoke, live music and community events

A restaurant might be known for its food but not for its Thursday trivia. A bar might have a regular karaoke host whose fans know the host but not the venue. A live music room might have several performers advertising the same show in different places. Visitors need one thing from all of them: reliable information about what happens, where, and when.

The Minty Brand Ecosystem is a free public directory that connects Brands, Places and Events. For a bar, restaurant or performance venue, the useful part is the relationship between a physical location, the business operating it, and the people bringing an event to that location.

A venue is more than its street address

A business profile can hold public information about the operator and link to official destinations. A Place profile identifies the location where guests can go. Individual Event records connect a show or recurring activity to its time, location and participants. A visitor who begins with the entertainer can find the venue, while somebody browsing the venue can discover the activity.

Consider a Friday karaoke night. The venue has its own Place listing. The karaoke host has a Brand profile. Friday karaoke is an Event connecting the two. If a different DJ performs on Saturday, that is another relationship, not a replacement for the venue profile.

What kinds of events belong?

Public listings can include karaoke, live bands, acoustic sets, DJs, trivia, open mics, comedy, community markets, classes and special gatherings. A restaurant does not need a concert stage for its calendar to be useful. A well-specified weekly activity is often exactly what someone is searching for.

How guests can discover the night

Visitors can use Find Events to look for activities by city, ZIP code and day, or browse the Brand directory for a host, artist or business. The Covina nightlife guide is an example of the editorial side: it puts multiple venues and entertainment options into a useful guide rather than requiring a reader to already know each place's name.

These pages create additional routes to your public information. They do not promise search ranking, attendance, ticket sales, or promotion by the venue's performers.

What to send for a useful venue listing

  • The business name, venue name if different, accurate address, official website and preferred public links.
  • The type of activity, weekday or exact date, starting time, and ending time if available.
  • The host, band, DJ, organizer, or other participants, plus official pages we can connect.
  • A public calendar, flyer, announcement or authorized correction, including exceptions to recurring schedules.

A schedule change should not require somebody to guess which social post is newest. Send the updated time or cancelled date so the listing can be reviewed and corrected.

Are listings tied to shirt sales?

No. A free venue or event listing is public directory information, not a business proposal. The site happens to be operated by Minty Tees, a Covina custom-apparel business, but a listing does not imply an order or a partnership.

The listing and update form accepts public listings, corrections and event flyers. Directory listings are free and no Brand account or purchase is required to supply updates. Inclusion does not mean Minty Tees represents, books, sponsors or sells tickets for anyone mentioned. Custom apparel and merchandise, if desired, are entirely separate and opt-in.
